Welcome!

Mohabee--what does the name mean?

Mojave Desert Hike

Starland Retreat

Laney College

Mohabee is a ceramic artist, who is influenced by the desert environment surrounding his home, called Starland. Not only is the rough-textured beauty of desert mountains an influence, but the distinct call of coyotes, yelping in a distant canyon, can be sensed in each of Mohabee's creations.

Mohabee hand-builds his Hölfäz candle surrounds, Tower Surrounds, and FÄZ surrounds, masks, and abstract ceramic sculpture. Each of his creations is unique, and is signed by the artist.

Mohabee has been working with clay since kindergarten. He is an alumni of Laney College, in Oakland, CA, where he also helped instruct hand-building to beginning ceramics students. He currently has a small studio near his home in Southern California's Mojave Desert.
